Romp at the House of Odalisque

By Pamela Sue Perry  w/m copyright  3-19-11

Capo fourth fret

Verse

Throwing time down a black hole,

was easy as picking daisies in a field.

With blue skies overhead

and yellow pollinated air,

waywardness will not yield.

Verse

Bed sheets are hanging out the window.

Red-headed twins are climbing to the ground.

Dogs howl in the background

as the train rushes by,

and the calendar flutters in the wind.

Chorus

At the house of Odalisque

it’s another day in paradise.

It doesn’t matter much

it’s just the house is on fire!

Ohh, ohh, ohh, ohh, ohh.

Verse

You were looking back

while walking towards the light,

and fell into the house of Odalisque.

No one stopped to notice

that broken wing,

in the blue light of Jeopardy.

Bridge

You have all the time in the world,

and you have none at all.

You have all the time in the world,

and you have none at all.

Verse

We were just stupid kids and time stood still.

We were dancing with flowers in our hair.

Do you think of me when you hear the train?

Or is it just the vibration that rattles your chain?

Chorus

At the house of Odalisque

it’s another day in paradise.

It doesn’t matter much it’s just

the house is on fire!

Ohh, ohh, ohh, ohh, ohh.
